His Majesty The King only sends congratulatory cards for

• 60th (Diamond)
• 65th and
• 70th (Platinum)

wedding anniversaries and then every year thereafter.

His Majesty does not send a card for 25th (Silver), 40th (Ruby) or 50th (Golden) wedding anniversaries.

The Lieutenant Governor will send his own congratulatory card. In addition, this includes those celebrating 50th (Golden) wedding anniversaries.

The delivery of these cards is arranged by Government House.

There is no automatic alert from Isle of Man Government departments for wedding anniversaries or birthdays.

To arrange for a card to be sent, you should contact us by email or letter 4 weeks before the special day and include the following:

• A copy of the celebrants' wedding certificate (not needed for 50th (Golden) wedding anniversary cards from the Lieutenant Governor)

• The celebrants' full names, type of anniversary, date of anniversary and their current address

• Contact details of applicant, including name, address and phone number
