His Excellency joined Chief Minister, Hon Alf Cannan MHK, on Saturday 6th May 2023 to represent the people of the Isle of Man at the Coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla at Westminster Abbey. His Excellency and the Chief Minister were seated in the North transept of the Abbey with the Lieutenant Governors and Bailiffs of Jersey and Guernsey.
His Excellency said ‘What an absolute honour, privilege and wonderful experience to represent the people of the Isle of Man. Very, very special’.
Earlier that week, His Excellency and Lady Lorimer hosted a reception to celebrate their Coronation at Government House. Members of the Island's community, including uniformed services, voluntary organisations and cadets were invited to celebrate this very special event.
His Excellency and Lady Lorimer were pleased to attend several community events on the Island.
